East Atlanta Strut -Atlanta's Best Festival

Sep 24
1 min read

🎉 The East Atlanta Strut is back, and East Atlanta is about to get a whole lot louder, weirder, and more fun!

This Saturday, September 26, the East Atlanta Strut takes over the neighborhood from noon to 6 p.m. with the legendary parade, live music, artists’ markets, food, drinks, Porchfest performances, and plenty of the wonderfully unexpected activities that make this festival uniquely East Atlanta.

The Strut is more than just a festival. It’s a celebration of the people, businesses, artists, musicians, and neighbors who make East Atlanta such a special place to live. You can wander from the Village to Brownwood Park, discover local artists, listen to bands playing on neighborhood porches, grab a bite from a local favorite, and generally enjoy East Atlanta at its most East Atlanta.

And there’s an even better reason to support it: the Strut has been completely volunteer-run since 1998, with profits going back into the community. In recent years, more than $100,000 has been donated to local nonprofits, schools, neighborhood programs, animal rescue organizations, the library, fire station, and community improvement projects.

If you’ve never experienced the Strut, this is your year. If you’re a longtime Strutter, you already know the drill: comfortable shoes, wandering spirit, and prepare to discover something you didn’t expect.

One of the many reasons I love living in East Atlanta. ❤️
